Hosting, security, and upgrades
Managed
Platform responsibilities
Shopify manages the hosted commerce platform. Your team still owns configuration, applications, storefront quality, access, privacy, integrations, and release governance.
WIX TO SHOPIFY MIGRATION SERVICES
Unified Pixel plans and delivers Wix to Shopify migrations for content-rich and operationally complex sites. That may include Wix Stores data, pages, blog posts, CMS collections, forms, memberships, apps, Velo code, integrations, and organic search visibility.
We do more than import records. We translate the business requirements behind the Wix site into a maintainable Shopify architecture, verify important customer and operator journeys, and coordinate a controlled launch.
Wix can be an effective way to launch a website and store, but growing catalogs, fulfillment workflows, selling channels, application needs, and international operations may call for a commerce-focused platform. A successful Shopify migration protects valuable data and journeys without copying limitations the business has outgrown.
Move from a general website builder to a platform designed around commerce operations, product merchandising, checkout, orders, inventory, channels, customer accounts, and extensibility.
Rebuild Wix Editor or Wix Studio layouts as responsive Shopify Liquid templates and reusable sections with clear content controls the team can update confidently.
Document what each Wix app, automation, dataset, form, Velo function, and integration actually does. Keep the business requirement while selecting a Shopify-native, app-based, or custom implementation.
Design the target around current content, commerce, markets, customer journeys, integrations, and editorial ownership instead of carrying every historical workaround forward.
WIX VS SHOPIFY
Wix and Shopify use different models for products, options, collections, content, design, apps, members, checkout, automation, and administration. We turn those differences into explicit architecture decisions so Shopify supports the intended commerce operation instead of imitating the Wix editor or database.

Platform responsibilities

Mapped
Wix structures become usable Shopify content
Wix Stores products, options, collections, CMS collections, dynamic-page records, custom fields, pages, and blog content are mapped to Shopify products, variants, collections, pages, articles, metafields, metaobjects, or connected systems.
Rebuilt
Shopify-native storefront
Wix Editor and Wix Studio layouts do not transfer as Shopify theme code. We audit the approved experience and rebuild it with Liquid templates, reusable sections, structured content, accessible interactions, and responsive behavior.
Replaced
Capability by capability
Every Wix app, automation, form, dataset, custom element, Velo function, and endpoint is assessed by business purpose, stored data, integrations, risk, and cost before choosing a native feature, Shopify app, custom app, or process change.
Designed
Markets, expansion stores, or consolidation
Separate Wix sites, multilingual content, domains, currencies, catalogs, or regional operations are mapped to Shopify Markets, multiple stores, localized content, consolidated administration, or connected systems based on governance and reporting needs.
Simplified
Clear post-launch responsibility
Roles, merchandising workflows, data sources, release controls, documentation, and support ownership are designed so the new store can be operated without hidden migration dependencies.
DATA MIGRATION SCOPE
Most core Wix Stores and website data can move, but export availability and Shopify destinations differ by data type. We define source fields, historical depth, transformations, relationships, exclusions, redirect rules, validation criteria, and ownership before production migration begins.
A migration is not a database clone. We identify each mismatch early, document the target behavior, and obtain business approval before production data moves.
Wix contacts, site members, and Wix Stores customers are not identical records, and original passwords are not treated as portable credentials. We classify each audience before planning Shopify customer profiles, activation or reset journeys, communications, and archival paths.
Wix templates, Editor layouts, Studio breakpoints, animations, repeaters, galleries, and interactions cannot be transferred as Shopify Liquid. We preserve approved brand and journey requirements while rebuilding the storefront with maintainable, accessible Shopify sections.
Wix options, modifiers, choice combinations, subscriptions, custom pricing, bookings, deposits, product forms, and conditional behavior may need variants, bundles, selling plans, line-item properties, metafields, metaobjects, applications, or redesigned workflows.
Wix apps, automations, Velo backend and frontend code, web modules, datasets, and event handlers do not run on Shopify. Each capability is replaced with a native feature, vetted app, Shopify Flow, custom app, integration service, redesigned workflow, or retirement decision.
Wix CMS collections, datasets, references, repeaters, dynamic item pages, and dynamic list pages need explicit Shopify destinations. Depending on purpose, they may become products, collections, pages, articles, metafields, metaobjects, search records, or archived data.
Not every abandoned cart, contact activity, automation log, form submission, booking artifact, member record, app-owned field, or analytics event belongs in the live Shopify admin. We decide what must remain operational, searchable, referenced externally, retained, exported, or archived.
UNDERSTAND THE WIX ESTATE
We begin with the live Wix site and the people who merchandise, market, fulfill, publish, and support through it.
DEFINE THE SHOPIFY MODEL
Discovery becomes a written target architecture and migration matrix.
BUILD THE TARGET STORE
We implement the target around Shopify conventions while preserving the journeys and operating controls the business needs.
PROVE THE TRANSFORMATION
Early test migrations expose export, mapping, and transformation problems while there is still time to correct them.
TEST THE BUSINESS, NOT ONLY THE DATA
Accurate records are necessary, but the migration succeeds only when customers and operators can complete their work.
LAUNCH WITH A RUNBOOK
We coordinate the final sequence around trading readiness and named owners.
SEO MIGRATION AND URL CONTINUITY
Wix product, collection, page, blog, dynamic-page, language, and app-generated URLs often differ from Shopify routes. We crawl the source site, use search and analytics evidence to classify indexable pages, map valuable URLs to the closest relevant destinations, migrate agreed titles and descriptions, and implement one-hop 301 redirects before traffic switches.
Clear headings, server-rendered copy, descriptive internal links, consistent entity names, and valid structured data help search engines and AI systems interpret the new store. These signals support discovery, but they are not a substitute for useful content, authority, or technical quality.
After launch, we validate redirects, internal links, canonicals, robots directives, structured data, XML sitemaps, indexation signals, analytics, merchant feeds, and crawl errors. Redirects and content parity reduce avoidable loss; they do not guarantee unchanged rankings.
The hardest Wix migrations are usually defined by the services surrounding Wix Stores. These workstreams are discovered, designed, tested, and assigned owners alongside the Shopify storefront.
Gateways, accelerated wallets, tax registrations, shipping zones, carrier rates, pickup, local delivery, fulfillment locations, returns, fraud controls, and operational ownership are configured and tested for Shopify.
Contact, lead, quote, newsletter, and gated-download forms are mapped with field requirements, consent, spam protection, routing, CRM ownership, notifications, attribution, retention, and replacement automation rules.
Domains, languages, currencies, duties, tax, catalogs, inventory, content, reporting, legal entities, and regional teams inform whether to use Shopify Markets, multiple stores, applications, or consolidated administration.
Recurring billing, appointment availability, staff and location calendars, ticketing, registrations, member roles, protected content, course progress, and community access need deliberate Shopify-app or connected-platform designs.
Search behavior, filters, recommendations, review attribution, loyalty balances, email and SMS audiences, pixels, consent, product feeds, marketplaces, and campaign automations are mapped with data portability and vendor constraints in view.
Access, least privilege, secrets, consent, retention, regional privacy requirements, audit needs, data handling, environments, release controls, and incident ownership are included in the delivery plan.

Wix replatforming crosses business operations and technical systems. We keep those workstreams connected so a decision in one area does not become an unexpected problem somewhere else.
Strategy, Shopify architecture, UX, theme implementation, migration, integrations, SEO, QA, and launch planning are coordinated against one set of requirements and acceptance criteria.
We distinguish between data that can transfer, behavior that must be recreated, functionality that should change, and complexity that is safe to retire.
Mappings, assumptions, exclusions, test results, exceptions, risks, owners, and approvals are documented throughout the project.
Training, support procedures, documentation, monitoring, stabilization, and a prioritized improvement backlog help the team take confident ownership of Shopify.
Share your Wix site URL, Editor or Studio setup, product and order volumes, CMS collections, apps, Velo code, subscriptions or bookings, integrations, SEO exposure, and target launch window. We will identify the decisions needed before a reliable estimate.
Timing depends on product, customer, order, page, blog, and CMS volumes; Wix apps and Velo code; subscriptions or bookings; integrations; SEO exposure; design; approvals; and launch constraints. A focused Wix Stores migration may take weeks, while a complex replatform can take several months. Discovery should produce the schedule.
Core Wix Stores records can usually be migrated, subject to export and API availability. We define required history, field mappings, product-option handling, customer identity, order statuses, discounts, tax, shipping, custom data, transformations, and acceptance criteria before running test migrations.
Original passwords are generally not available as portable credentials. Wix contacts, site members, and Wix Stores customers must first be classified. Approved customer profiles can move, while Shopify account activation or password-reset journeys, communications, and customer-support procedures are planned for launch.
Not as theme code. Wix Editor and Wix Studio layouts, breakpoints, effects, repeaters, galleries, and interactions use a different system from Shopify Liquid. We audit the approved brand and journeys, then rebuild them as responsive, accessible Shopify templates and reusable sections.
They do not run on Shopify unchanged. We inventory each app, automation, form, dataset, custom element, web module, Velo function, endpoint, and stored field, then choose a Shopify native feature, vetted app, Shopify Flow, custom app, external service, redesigned process, or retirement plan.
Usually, but the destination model must be designed. Blog posts may become Shopify articles, while Wix CMS collection records and dynamic pages may map to products, collections, pages, metafields, metaobjects, applications, or an archive. Relationships, media, metadata, internal links, and URLs require validation.
Normally, yes. Discovery, Shopify development, mapping, and test migrations happen while Wix remains live. Near launch, we plan a change freeze or final-delta window to capture late products, inventory, customers, orders, pages, posts, CMS records, and configuration changes accurately.
We crawl legacy URLs, classify indexable pages, map valuable destinations, migrate agreed metadata, implement 301 redirects, and validate internal links, canonicals, robots directives, structured data, XML sitemaps, analytics, and post-launch crawl errors. No responsible agency can guarantee unchanged rankings.
Often, but not as a simple copy. We assess subscription contracts, payment tokens, appointment and staff availability, locations, tickets, registrations, member roles, protected content, and historical records. The target may use Shopify apps, a custom integration, or a connected specialist platform.
Usually, yes. A domain can point to Shopify or be transferred when appropriate. We inventory DNS records before changes so website routing, email, verification, subdomains, and connected services are protected. Domain ownership, registrar access, timing, and any Wix-managed email arrangement must be confirmed.
We combine automated counts and exception reports with field-level sampling and end-to-end tests. Acceptance criteria cover products, options, collections, customers, orders, inventory, content, CMS records, media, redirects, applications, integrations, analytics, checkout, fulfillment, and operational workflows.
READY TO PLAN THE MOVE?
We will review Wix Stores data, product options, customers, orders, content, CMS collections, Editor or Studio designs, apps, automations, forms, and Velo code. Integrations, domains, SEO exposure, subscriptions, bookings, and operating workflows then help define the right migration starting point.
